Pointed notes

One simple way of doing consists in putting normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\pt p to get a dot after the normal note head at pitch p. Thus a quarter note with a point can be coded normalshapemediumseries\pt hnormalshapemediumseries\qu h.

A simpler way of doing consists in using compact macros, namely: normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\qup, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\qupp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\quppp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zqp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zhp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zwp (these three normalshapemediumseries\z...p are useful in chords), normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\hup, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\whp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\qhp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\qhpp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\qlp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\qlpp, etc.

You may also introduce pointed notes, especially in groups by coding a period before (not after) the letter representing the pitch: normalshapemediumseries\qu{ .a.ˆb.c} which is equivalent to:

\pt{a}\qu{a}\pt{b}\sh{b}\qu{b}\pt{c}\qu{c}

Finally, pointed nots can also be produced without spacing aftef, using normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zhup, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zhlp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zqup, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zqlp, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zcup, normalshapemediumseriesnormalshapemediumseries\zclp, and the same with two normalshapemediumseriesp's for double-pointed notes.
